WHAT SPECIAL ATTRACTIONS ARE
THERE? For many years now, "A.J" Marriot's talks at the
Helpmates UK Conventions have always proved very popular. The one for our 26th
May 2013 Convention will no doubt prove to be equally so, as A.J will be
previewing "LAUREL and HARDY in LONDON"
before playing it in the HITCHIN FESTIVAL in July. A.J's presentations have been getting better, as
he has upgraded his computer, and learned many new tricks about Power point. I
can guarantee the talk alone will be worth the price of admission. Other
special
attractions will be announced nearer the date– when confirmed. WHO CAN COME: Our event is
open to any Laurel & Hardy fans, their family and friends.
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST:
Just £10 for adults and £5 for Children (15 and under) gives you full access
to all the Convention rooms; including our own
Private Bar where, as well as buying drinks, you will be able to
order Bar Meals.

CAN WE JUST TURN UP ON THE DAY:
Yes! but tickets will cost a little
more: ADULTS £12.50 - CHILDREN £6. FOOD: Bar meals can be ordered from our special 'Laurel
and Hardy' menu from within our convention bar, or you can also dine in the
hotel restaurant, details will be sent
with the tickets. We can provide full directions and rail times for those
who need them. Please note that high-speed trains now run from St. Pancras,
which may save some of you from travelling to Victoria. We do hope you
will make every effort to join us, as
we shall be making every effort to ensure you have a great day. Whether
you wish to keep your own company, or find friends old and new, we can
guarantee you a safe, secure, and friendly environment.
To watch Laurel & Hardy films on DVD at home is one
thing, but to watch them on a big screen, in a room filled with scores of
other fans laughing out loud, makes for one heck of a great atmosphere.

Kent. OR Coming from the NORTH, then take advantage of the NEW 'HIGH
SPEED' SOUTHEASTERN SERVICE from ST PANCRAS INTERNATIONAL station (platforms
11, 12 or 13. You can experience part of the journey at 180 MPH!! NOTE:
Make sure it stops at CHATHAM ( as there are two routes). Chatham is only
45 mins. from London. The Holiday Inn is only
